Bitvavo will support the Maker (MKR) token swap to Sky (SKY)

We will support the Maker (MKR) token swap to Sky (SKY). Read this article for our timeline.

Bitvavo will stick to the following timeline for the swap:

• Deposits for Maker (MKR) are closing on Friday September 12th, 13:00 CEST.
• Buying and selling for MKR stops on Friday September 12th, 14:00 CEST.
• Withdrawals for MKR are closing on Friday September 12th, 15:00 CEST.
• Users with MKR on Bitvavo after Friday September 12th, 15:00 CEST don’t have to take any action; Bitvavo will automatically convert these balances to Sky (SKY) on Wednesday September 17th, 2025, or earlier.
• MKR will be converted to SKY at a conversion rate of 1 MKR = 24,000 SKY.

What do traders who own MKR need to know?

• Bitvavo will automatically swap your Maker (MKR) for Sky (SKY).
• After the swap, MKR will no longer be available.
• After halting the market, your asset balance for MKR will temporarily display as 0.
• Please note that it may take some time for the SKY balance to reflect in your account once we complete the swap of MKR on your behalf.
