Delisting timeline

IDEX

  • Buying and selling will end on Monday 30 March at 14:00 CET.

  • Withdrawals will close on Monday 30 March at 15:00 CET.

  • On Friday 3 April, or earlier, any remaining balances will be automatically converted to EUR.

SXP (trade-only)
SXP is a trade-only asset on Bitvavo and cannot be deposited or withdrawn.

  • Buying and selling will end on Monday 30 March at 14:00 CET.
  • On Friday 3 April, or earlier, any remaining balances will be automatically converted to EUR.

After the market is halted, your balance expressed in EUR may temporarily display as 0. It can take some time for the euro balance to appear in your account once we complete the sale of the asset on your behalf.

Transfer to an external wallet

You can withdraw your IDEX to an external wallet or exchange before the withdrawal deadline. Step-by-step instructions are available here.
If you do not take action before the deadline, your IDEX and/or SXP balance will be converted to EUR automatically.
We will execute the sale with care, but we cannot guarantee a specific conversion rate or spread.

Why do assets get delisted?

We understand that delistings can be inconvenient, especially if you hold an affected asset or recently traded it. Here is why these decisions are made.

Bitvavo periodically reviews all assets listed on our platform to ensure they meet the high standards we aim to offer all users. Delisting is never taken lightly and is guided by a structured evaluation. Key factors we assess include:

  • Trading volume and market liquidity

  • Network or contract security and stability

  • Dedication and activity of the project team or developers

  • User interest and engagement on our platform

  • Evidence of unethical behaviour or negligence

In many cases, a delisting reflects reduced activity or changing market conditions rather than wrongdoing. Our goal is to maintain a stable and compliant trading environment for all users.
