Updated Privacy Notice
Bitvavo has updated its Privacy Notice. These changes will apply as of December 30th, 2024. Please read it carefully before continuing your use of Bitvavo’s services.
The key updates to the Privacy Notice are:
- On 30 December 2024, the Travel Rule Regulation (TFR) will come into effect. The purpose of the TFR is to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing by enhancing transparency in digital asset transactions. Under the TFR, Bitvavo has an obligation to share information about you with other crypto asset service providers when you transfer digital assets to those providers. You can read more about this in paragraph 8 (in section 8 under the header Controllers).
- Bitvavo allows international transfers of personal data to a party in the United States if that party participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can read more about this in paragraph 9.
- Bitvavo updated the overview of processors and controllers that it shares your personal data with. You can find this overview in paragraph 8 under the headers Controllers and Processors).
