Bitvavo will delist KMD and LTO
We will stop supporting KMD and LTO on our platform on 2 July 2025. Below, you’ll find the details of this process and how it may impact your account.
Delisting timelines
We will implement the following timeline delistings:
- Deposits are closing on Wednesday July 2nd, 10:00 CEST
- Buying and selling stops on Wednesday July 2nd, 11:00 CEST
- Withdrawals are closing on Wednesday July 2nd, 12:00 CEST
- On Friday July 4th or earlier, we will automatically convert your assets to EUR. After halting the market, your asset balance expressed in EUR will temporarily display as 0. Please note that it may take some time for the euro balance to reflect in your account once we complete the sale of the asset(s) on your behalf.
- Please be aware that the conversion to EUR will take place at the market rate at the time of conversion, which may (significantly) differ from the price at the time of delisting. Bitvavo will execute the sale with care, but cannot guarantee a specific conversion rate or outcome.
Withdrawal options
Detailed instructions for withdrawing your assets can be found here. Please act promptly to ensure your assets are managed according to your preferences.
Remember, any balances not withdrawn in time will automatically convert to EUR. While we will aim to secure the best available price, we cannot guarantee specific spreads.
Why do assets get delisted?
We understand that asset delistings can be inconvenient, especially if you're holding an affected asset or have recently traded it. That’s why we want to offer more context around why these decisions are made and how we aim to handle them with transparency and care.
Bitvavo periodically reviews all the assets listed on our platform. This helps us ensure that every asset we support meets the high standards of quality we aim to offer all our users. Delisting an asset is never a decision we take lightly, and it’s always guided by a structured evaluation process. Some of the key factors we assess include:
- Trading volume and market liquidity: Is there enough liquidity to support healthy trading activity?
- Network or contract security and stability: Are there any technical concerns or vulnerabilities?
- Dedication of the project team or developers: Is the project still actively maintained and progressing?
- User interest and engagement: Is the asset still relevant to our users, and actively traded on our platform?
- Evidence of unethical behavior or negligence: Has the project acted in a way that could compromise user safety or trust?
In many cases, a delisting is not a reflection of wrongdoing but rather an outcome of reduced activity, development stagnation, or shifting market conditions. Our responsibility is to ensure a stable and compliant trading environment for everyone, and sometimes that means stepping away from assets that no longer meet these requirements.
