At Bitvavo, security comes first. To further improve our product, we've partnered with Auth0 by Okta, an industry leader in the field of customer identity and multi-factor authentication solutions. Their tools help us detect and block any suspicious login activity on your Bitvavo account, keeping your account safe from potential threats.

Why did we choose Auth0?

We wanted to collaborate with a partner experienced in authentication and authorization for international organizations, to help us in our ambition to further grow in Europe. This allows us to concentrate on our core business, which is providing you with the opportunity to trade digital assets in a safe and user-friendly manner. 

In addition to the Auth0 Customer Identity Cloud, we are also implementing safeguards such as Brute Force Protection, IP Throttling, and Bot Detection.

What will change for you? 

Most of the changes in the Auth0 rollout relate to backend security and processes, and you will receive in-app notifications about any integration-related changes. In general, the migration to the Customer Identity Cloud won't significantly impact your user experience.
