New: Free Apple Pay deposits on Bitvavo

Today we’re introducing Apple Pay deposits on Bitvavo: a faster way for iOS customers to fund their euro balance. When you use Apple Pay, euro deposits are instant, secure, and carry zero deposit fees.

Faster funding, €0 fees

With Apple Pay, you can top up using the card already stored in your Apple Wallet. No IBAN entry, no card details required, and no deposit fees. You simply authorize with Face ID or your device passcode. Adding Apple Pay ensures you’re trade-ready when markets move:

  • Speed: Apple Pay deposits are instant.

  • Simplicity: No details required, just tap and pay with your Apple Wallet card.

  • €0 deposit fees: Apple Pay deposit fees on Bitvavo are €0.Ā Trading fees still apply.

How to start using Apple Pay to top up your euro balance

  1. Start aĀ EUR deposit in the Bitvavo app by clicking theĀ + icon next to yourĀ Available balance.

  2. Input theĀ amount you wish to add and clickĀ Preview.

  3. In theĀ Deposit Preview screen, select Apple Pay from theĀ dropdown menu next toĀ Method.

  4. Use yourĀ Apple Wallet card. Choose a supported card already set up on your iPhone.

  5. Authorize withĀ Face ID or device passcodeĀ to confirm the payment.

Availability, limits, and regions

Apple Pay euro deposits are available to all iOS customers in Europe. You must have a supported card in Apple Wallet and you must have a verified IBAN linked to your Bitvavo account. You cannot verify an IBAN or withdraw funds with Apple Pay. Pricing, fees, and limits

Apple Pay deposit fees are €0 on Bitvavo. Standard trading fees apply when you buy or sell assets. The maximum deposit is €10,000, and there is no minimum deposit amount.

  2. Why can’t I see Apple Pay?
Availability depends on region, verification, and whether you have a supported card in Apple Wallet. If you encounter an error when trying to pay with Apple Pay, please check the following:

    1. Apple Pay setup: Ensure that Apple Pay is properly set up on your device. If it is, you should see Apple Pay listed as an option on the ā€œSelect payment methodā€ screen.

    2. App version:Ā Verify that you are using the latest version of the Bitvavo app, and update if necessary.

    3. Billing address:Ā Confirm that a valid billing address is added for the card you are using.

    4. Sufficient funds: Check that the account linked to your card has enough available funds to cover the deposit.

    5. Card validity: Make sure your card has not expired.

    6. Deposit limit:Ā Keep in mind that the maximum deposit amount via Apple Pay is €10,000.
