Bitvavo will delist Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC)

We will stop supporting Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) on our platform on February 7th at 13:00 CET.

Below, you’ll find the details of this process and how it may impact your account.

What does this mean for you?

We will implement the following timeline for the delisting:

  • Deposits closing: Friday, February 7th, 2025, at 10:00 CET

  • Buying and selling stops: Friday, February 7th, 2025, at 13:00 CET

  • Withdrawals closing: Friday, March 7th, 2025, at 10:00 CET

  • Automatic conversion: On Monday, March 10th, 2025, or earlier, remaining WBTC balances will be converted to BTC and credited to your account. Please note that after halting the market, your asset balance for WBTC will temporarily display as 0. Please note that it may take some time for the BTC balance to reflect in your account once we complete the swap of WBTC on your behalf.

Withdrawal options

You can transfer your WBTC to an external wallet or exchange before March 7th, 10:00 CET. Detailed instructions for withdrawing your assets can be foundĀ here. Please act promptly to ensure your assets are managed according to your preferences.

For any balances not withdrawn in time, we will automatically attempt to convert them to BTC at the prevailing market rate on March 10th. Please note that while we will aim to secure the best available price, we cannot guarantee specific spreads.
